The mission of the Kenedy Public Library is to provide materials and services which fulfill educational, informational, historical, and recreational needs of the community and surrounding areas. The Library responds to the needs of users by providing a clean and inviting building, up-to-date collections, and friendly professional service.

The library is currently OPEN to the public, Mon - Fri., 8 am - 5 pm 

We are also offering CURBSIDE service.

Call the library @ 830.583.3313 and we will bring your library materials to your vehicle.

If you need to fax or make copies, call us and we will assist you.

Introducing eBooks

Kenedy Public Library is proud to offer you best-selling and classic eBooks, audiobooks, music and video available 24/7 from the library’s digital collection.

You’ll be able to browse the collection, borrow with your library card, and enjoy on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or eReader Device. Most borrowed eBooks can be enjoyed immediately in your web browser with OverDrive Read. Or, you can download eBooks into free software, Adobe Digital Editions, or send to your Kindle device or app. Downloaded eBooks can be transferred to a variety of devices, including IPod and many others.

Users with smartphones or tablets can install the OverDrive Media Console app to directly download EPUB eBooks and MP3 audiobooks titles to their device. No matter how you plan to enjoy, titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. BEST thing is, NO LATE FEES! So, don’t delay, relax, and read yourself away into an adventure.

Besides Overdrive, Kenedy Public Library is also participating in E-Read Texas.
With more than 17,000 e-books and audiobooks available through E-Read Texas, the collection includes popular adult fiction and non-fiction, as well as a collection of more than 600 books for children grades K through 8. The collection also features a library of Texas-related works published by Texas university presses, such as Texas A&M University Press and the University of Texas Press. With more than 1,700 titles, this collection focuses on Texas history, geography, nature, and many other topics.
These new resources can be accessed through the SimplyE app, which is downloadable for free from for Apple and Android devices. Please contact us if you have any questions about using SimplyE.
